The Most Amazing Trends for Parties

Parties

There are no two ways about it: social gatherings are back, and they're back with a vengeance! Whilst we spent most of the last few years hiding inside our homes and experiencing the full force of the pandemic, it seems that this year is off to a good start. Coronavirus protocols have gone, and the recent Christmas and New Year celebrations are proof that everything is back to normal (or as normal as possible). So if you haven't had a party in the past two years or haven't celebrated any event in your company or organisation, now is the perfect time to do so - and many other people are already planning their next big party or event as we speak. But this year's parties are going to be all-out, spectacular affairs - so if you want your party or event to be the same, here are the most amazing trends for parties.

Say it with caviar

Luxury has no bounds - and when speaking about luxury, one of the most luxurious (and expensive) items you can serve is caviar. Caviar was popular as a garnish in the 1990s, but it is making a comeback once again. If you have the means and the budget for it, you can set up a special caviar bar or station complete with a huge selection of flavours - from the ubiquitous chopped eggs and blintzes to raw beef, salmon, and anything else that suits your fancy. Your guests will still be oohing and aahing at your caviar bar long after your event is finished.

Wine with dessert

All parties and events feature wine - a standard for every gathering or menu. But if you want your event or party to stand out, why not pair your wine with dessert? Instead of simply pairing white wine with fish or poultry and red wine with beef or other red meats, why not have a dessert wine, too? As expert party planners like www.oasisevents.co.uk will tell you, wine is also excellent with chocolates and cheese, and to add more elegance and class to your event, you can even turn it into a wine-tasting with multiple wines. There is always a reason to have a toast - be it to someone's health and good fortune, to success in the year ahead, and whatnot - and you can have the perfect wines (and the perfect desserts!).

A grand affair with grand arches

Whilst minimalism is generally favoured over grandiosity, if you want your event to be as glamorous and luxurious as ever, you can certainly have a lavish affair with a grand arch or two. A grand arch is the opposite of minimalist, but it makes for a stunning backdrop and focal point. Epic and great decorative pieces are making a comeback, and arches are one of them. And believe it or not, the bigger they are, the better. The more greenery, florals, and wow factor they have, the better.

Your arches can become your event's centrepiece, and any wedding would look glorious with an arch. It's important to work closely with your event planner and floral and design team to determine the best materials and shape to use for your event. If you want your arch to look magical, you can use drapes and an organic backdrop; an ivy-studded arch would also give your event some extra flair.
